Medication Policy

DID YOU KNOW?

Students are NOT allowed to carry *medication of any kind while in elementary school. This includes prescription and non-prescription medication, as well as homeopathic and natural remedies. (Tylenol, Lactaid, eye drops, Pepto, Tums, Midol, allergy pills, cough drops, throat spray, vitamins, essential oils, etc.)  ANY MEDICATION OF ANY KIND, including over-the-counter and homeopathic medication, must be kept in the office and requires a Medication Authorization Form, signed by a healthcare provider. 

*In rare instances, and with the appropriate documentation and healthcare plan, a student may be permitted to carry / self-administer auto-ejectable epinephrine, insulin, or asthma inhalers.
