General School Information

School Hours:
- 9:00 – 3:35 Monday through Thursday
  - 9:00 – 10:50 AM Kindergarten
  - 11:10 – 1:00 PM Kindergarten
- 9:00 – 1:00 Fridays or Early out days
  - 9:00 – 10:50 AM Kindergarten
  - 11:10 – 1:00 PM Kindergarten
- Visiting the school:
  - All visitors must enter through the front doors and sign in.
  - To check a student out from school, you must:
    - Be listed on the student’s Skyward account
    - Be marked YES for pickup
    - Have current picture ID
- Pedestrian Safety:
  - Please help us to make Rosamond a safe place for all students. The speed limit on the school grounds (drop off/pick up lanes and in the parking lots) is 10 MPH.
  - We ask that all students and their families follow the rules for crossing, loading and unloading, bike use and pedestrian traffic on the playgrounds and near the school.
- Attendance:
  - A parent or guardian should verify every absence. Call or email the school by 9:15 on or before the day of the absence.
- Medications:
  - Elementary students should never bring medication to school. Parents may come to the school to administer medication to their child during the school day.
  - Schools can administer medications only to students who have a current “Request for giving Medication at School” form on file. The forms must be renewed annually and signed by both the student’s parent and physician.

School Bus:
- Elementary students who live 1.5 miles or more from the nearest access to the school, using the shortest public access, are eligible for busing. Students who are not eligible for busing may submit “Space Available” bus passes, which are valid until the end of the current school year only and must be resubmitted each year. (Busing Request form available at the school.)
